Assessment Process

Arrange Appointment

Submit the enquiry form and schedule an appointment for in-person assessment with our team within 2 working days.

Prepare for the appointment

Gather any previous reports or assessments and prepare to share detailed observations of your child’s behaviour and development.

Attend the assessment

Depending on the assessments but it will be a combination of testing, interviews, and observations in a supportive environment. These assessments will provide a comprehensive evaluation of children’s cognitive, learning, emotional and social development.

Next Steps after the assessment

Once all the necessary information is gatheres, we will discuss the results with you to create a plan to support your child’s specific needs, whether through therapy, school-based supports, or other interventions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the confidentiality of assessment results maintained, who will have access to the assessment results, and how will they be shared?

Assessment results are strictly confidential and only shared with parental consent. Parents own the report and can choose whether to share it with schools or teachers. Schools keep information strictly confidential, with access limited to authorized personnel.

Does Sprout in Motion accept insurance, and if so, which providers are accepted?

Some insurance plans may cover assessments under mental health services—parents should confirm with their provider. Our client care team will assist parents through-out the claim process to ensure a smooth claim process.

How can parents be involved in the assessment process? Will parents have the opportunity to provide input or share concerns during the assessment?

Parents play an active role by providing school reports, previous assessments, and providing child’s history.
