Crystal Lau

Crystal is a Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) with over 12 years of experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a wide range of special educational needs. Since 2013, she has worked in international schools, clinics, and home-based programs, providing 1:1 and group intervention for learners aged 4–16.

She is especially passionate about supporting non-verbal and emerging communicators. With training in PECS, AAC, and play therapy, Crystal uses play as a natural pathway to build communication, social understanding, and emotional connection. She also provides parent coaching and teaches online RBT courses to educators in Mainland China.

Crystal has been supervised by BCBA-Ds across multiple settings and is experienced with assessments such as the VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, and Vineland. As a certified child fitness instructor, she integrates movement and sensory-regulation strategies into her sessions to support overall wellbeing.

Her approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including DTT, NET, social stories, BST, and ACT. She is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin and is dedicated to empowering children and families through compassionate, meaningful, and collaborative support.

Education

  • Degree in Psychology, Hong Kong
