Liao Min

Liao Min is a mother of a child with autism, and since 2012, she has focused on the therapeutic work for children with autism. She is one of the few certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) in Hong Kong who is fluent in three languages, with Mandarin as her mother tongue. She obtained her Master’s degree in Education from The Education University of Hong Kong with outstanding results and completed her BCBA certification course at Peking University’s Medical Education School.

Before joining the Little Yellow House Children’s Development Center, Liao Min led a team of over 50 behavior therapists in Guangzhou, providing intervention services to more than 250 children aged 2 to 18. Her primary responsibilities included supervising teaching staff, designing individualized behavior plans for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other developmental delays, as well as implementing evidence-based behavioral interventions.

After joining the Little Yellow House Children’s Development Center, Liao Min encountered a wider range of special educational needs (SEN) among children, including selective mutism, anxiety disorders, intellectual disabilities, oppositional defiant disorder, emotional and behavioral disorders, and executive function disorders. She provides professional support for these neurodiverse groups and actively advocates for close collaboration with mainstream schools to ensure a smooth transition for students.

Liao Min strongly believes in the importance of lifelong learning and sets an example by continually pursuing further education, obtaining several relevant professional certifications. She excels in integrating knowledge from various fields and applying it flexibly in children’s therapy. Combining her personal experience with her professional background allows her to provide unique and invaluable support to families and children facing developmental challenges.
