Counselor

Mirander Wong

(starting August 1)

Mirander is a multilingual counsellor with a deep commitment to supporting children, teens, and families as they navigate mental health challenges at school and at home. She uses a strength-based approach that empowers individuals to manage their emotions, develop coping strategies, and build resilience for the future.
Previously an educator, she draws on her experience as both a teacher and counsellor to adapt her work to children’s developmental stages. Her experience includes supporting individuals through complex family dynamics, anxiety, low mood, and neurodivergent needs. She also integrates approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, mindfulness based interventions, Narrative Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy to guide her practice.

Having spent part of her childhood living abroad and being educated in an international environment, Mirander understands the complexity of cultural difference and the search for self-identity. Now a mother of a young boy, she actively advocates for positive parenting, with a focus on teaching emotional regulation skills and nurturing strong emotional connection.
