Dr. Minna Chau 周碧潾博士

Founder and Clinical Child Psychologist

Dr. Minna Chau has been assessing and treating children with special needs in Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China, and the US since 2000. She holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Ohio University in the US, with a specialty in neurological disorders such as ADHD, Specific Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). She is a diplomate of School Neuropsychology and a full member of the Clinical Division of the Hong Kong Psychological Society as well as an Accredited Clinical Psychologist from the Hong Kong Institute of Clinical Psychologists (recognized by the Health Department in Hong Kong).

In addition to neurological conditions, Dr. Chau has over 20 years of experience working with children and adolescents with anxiety, mood, and behavioral challenges including Separation Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorders, sleep problems, Selective Mutism, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder.

Dr. Chau employs an integrated strategy that employs research findings and pragmatic application to assessment and treatment. She utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches including CBT, DBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Approach, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy.

Apart from clinical work, she previously worked as a clinical supervisor of the psychology doctoral program at Alliant International School in Hong Kong and as a clinical supervisor for the Master of Counseling program at The University of Hong Kong. She is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Putonghua.
