Dr. Olivia Hwang is a clinical psychologist and certified play therapist with over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK and accredited by Play Therapy International.
Dr. Hwang specializes in treating anxiety (phobias, OCD), depression, trauma, bereavement, and the effects of parental divorce. She also works with children struggling with anger management, selective mutism, social difficulties, and behavioral challenges.
Trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dr. Hwang tailors evidence-based interventions to each child. As a certified play therapist, she incorporates play therapy techniques into her structured, directive work, fostering emotional expression and emotional growth in young clients.
A certified mindfulness teacher, Dr. Hwang integrates mindfulness practices to enhance self-awareness, emotional balance, and coping skills.
