Winkie received her bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences (Psychology) from the University of Hong Kong, and thereafter her Postgraduate Diploma of Education (English - Secondary) at the University of Hong Kong and Master of Educational and Child Psychology at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She is an Associate Fellow of Division of Educational Psychology, The Hong Kong Psychological Society, as well as an Accredited Educational Psychologist from Hong Kong Association of Educational Psychologists (recognized by Department of Health).

Winkie is an experienced Educational Psychologist with over a decade of expertise in working with children across various age groups, ranging from preschool to high school. With a background working across various settings, including international school, NGOs and the Education Bureau, Winkie possesses specialized skills in conducting psychoeducational assessments, providing psychotherapy, group and individual interventions, and facilitating parent/teacher consultations. Throughout her extensive career, she has worked closely with both Chinese- and English-speaking students, gaining valuable experience in addressing a wide range of challenges such as giftedness, schooling difficulties/school refusal, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Learning Difficulties, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), selective mutism, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), anxiety, depression, developmental delay, and more.

Winkie utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches including Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy and mindfulness. She is a certified mindfulness coach in the Mindfulness in Schools Project (MiSP) and AutPlay® Therapy provider.

Winkie is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
