Speech and Language Therapist & Counselor
Kelly Chan
Kelly holds a Bachelor’s degree in Speech & Hearing Sciences and a Master’s degree in Counselling from the University of Hong Kong. In 2025, she completed a Master of Arts in Psychology at The Chinese University of Hong Kong to deepen her clinical competence in psychological theories, case formulation, and evidence-informed intervention, further strengthening the integration of her therapeutic work across communication and mental health domains.
With professional training in speech, language and swallowing rehabilitation, alongside counselling and play-based therapeutic approaches, Kelly works with children and adolescents presenting with speech and language disorders, learning difficulties, and emotional or behavioural difficulties. Her cross-disciplinary training enables her to integrate communication-focused therapy with developmentally attuned psychological support, providing individualised intervention in both clinic and school settings.
She has also undertaken training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for individual and group work, supporting clients in clarifying values, building psychological flexibility, and navigating developmental stressors.
Kelly’s approach aims to enhance functional communication, emotional regulation, and healthy relationships with both family and peers. She is fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin, and completed a minor in Spanish at HKU. Committed to ongoing professional development, she continually integrates current evidence-based practices into her work.
